How to run a Discount

This section explains the steps from installing the app to running a Discount.

This section introduces the steps to set up a scenario where "10% OFF the order amount applies when the total number of items in the cart is 5 or more."

Step 1. Activate the embedded app

(1) Click "Enable in theme" from the Settings Guide on the App TOP page. 

(2) Select the Shopify theme where you want to install the app from the select box. 

(3) Click "Activate". 

(4) Enable "RuffRuff Order Bonus" on the left side of the Theme Editor screen. 

(5) Click "Save" at the top right of the screen.

Step 2. Create a Discount campaign

(1) Click "Set up campaign" from the Settings Guide on the App TOP page. 

(2) Click "Create campaign".

(3) In Method, select "Automatic". 

(4) In Campaign name, enter any name. Note: This name is for internal management within the app. 

(5) In Discount title, enter any coupon code. Note: This is the coupon code displayed to customers when the discount is applied.

(6) In Eligibility conditions, add "Cart item quantity". 

(7) In Cart item quantity, configure the following:

• Select "Is greater than or equal to".

• Enter "5" in the input form.

• Select "All products".

(8) In Discount, add "Order discount". 

(9) In Order discount, configure the following:

• Select "Percentage".

• Enter "10" in the input form.

(10) In Display, turn ON "Show in widget". 

(11) Enter the Campaign title and Campaign description. Note: This will be displayed to customers in the Widget as active campaign information. 

(12) In Campaign applies to, check "One-time purchase". 

(13) Click "Save".

Step 3. Contract the Light Plan

(1) Click "Select Pricing Plan" from the Settings Guide on the App TOP page. 

(2) Click "Select Plan". 

(3) Click "Select" for the plan you wish to contract. 

(4) Confirm the contract details and click "Approve".

Step 4. Activate the Discount campaign

(1) Click "Activate campaign" from the Settings Guide on the App TOP page. 

(2) Click "View campaign list". 

(3) Check the campaign you want to activate from the list. 

(4) Click "Activate".

Please ensure that all of the following items are met.

▢ The embedded app is enabled. 

▢ The Light Plan is contracted. 

▢ The Discount campaign is created and is Active.

There are several possible reasons why the Discount might not work. Please refer to the help page below for troubleshooting.
